Tell us a little about yourself and how you got into CrossFit?

I am 26 years old from Pittsburgh PA, and my fiance Juli and I moved to Charleston in 2023. We have loved living here and making the beach our new home. I played rugby for almost 10 years and have played lots of other sports along the way. I got into CrossFit when I passed by the gym while I was working. I had always heard about CrossFit and how challenging it was And knew that I was up for a new challenge when it came to my physical fitness.
What keeps you coming back each day?
There is something about testing the limits of the human body that keeps me coming back wanting to do it all over again. I also have made really cool friends at the gym that make coming back just that much easier.
What is your favorite at-home exercise to do?
I love walking and doing yoga at home.

If you had to do 100 reps of one movement (not running), what would it be?
Bar muscle ups.
What are 1-2 of your goals for 2025
My mom has yet to visit us here in Charleston since we moved here so it would be awesome to get her here to see our new home.
Favorite lift?
Clean and jerk.
Least favorite Crossfit movement?
Cross overs.
Hometown?
Pittsburgh PA

Favorite Charleston Restaurant?
Jackrabbit Filly.
If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?
I would love to be a bird photographer for a day.
What would you most like to tell yourself at age 13?
I would say to start saving money for that classic car you have always wanted.
If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?
I would like to meet my Grandfather. Never had the chance to meet him, but I know we would have been best friends.
One thing about me people would be surprised to know?
I played rugby for almost ten years.
If the Nomad coaches came to your house for dinner, what would you prepare?
My family recipe of pancetta and peas. A historic Italian dish passed down in my family for a long time. Crispy pancetta pieces, garlic, crème fraiche, butter, fresh peas, pasta, topped with Parmesan.

Give us a “Question of the Day” to use in class.
What is one item that you always carry with you aside from your phone, wallet, or keys?
