Lillie Richie

Coach Lillie has had a love for the gym since 2018, but didn’t discover functional training until November of 2021 while in nursing school. After not being able to participate in sports growing up due to illness, she instantly fell in love with the community, energy, and sport-like atmosphere. It was the first time fitness became about what her body could do, not what it looked like — and from that point on, she was hooked. She even convinced her mom to join her in the 4:30am class, and the two trained together regularly.

Lillie became a nurse in 2022 and traveled the country as a travel RN in 2023, training at gyms in every city she lived in. She moved to Charleston in August of 2024 and joined Nomad shortly after, where she found a deeper level of community and a holistic approach to health that resonated deeply with her. Becoming a coach has filled an important cup for her — while nursing can be heavy at times, coaching is where she finds lightness, connection, and joy. Her favorite part of coaching is helping athletes discover that strength is accessible, empowering, and fun.

Lillie holds a CF-L1 and loves sharing her passion for functional training in a space that prioritizes strength, longevity, and belonging. She is grateful for the Nomad community and excited to continue helping athletes build confidence that carries far beyond the gym.

Outside of the gym, you can usually find Lillie surfing at the beach, planning her next trip, or baking gluten-free treats (she’s a proud celiac girly!).
