Tell us a little about yourself and how you got into CrossFit?
I am a very active person who wants to have every hobby on earth. Right now I have two young kids so my time for hobbies is minimal, but I try to find time to surf and play soccer, in addition to coming to the gym. I first started Crossfit back in 2016 with a roommate who was going to a gym downtown. I really liked the competitive aspect of it, and it felt like a new sport to learn rather than the same mindless workouts I’d been doing. But, shortly thereafter I started a construction/real estate side gig while working my engineering job and put everything else on the back-burner for several years, until I left my engineering job and joined here in Jan 2023.
What keeps you coming back each day?
The exercise makes me feel good, both physically and mentally, and I like the people.
What is your favorite at-home exercise to do?
Pushups, although this doesn’t happen often
If you had to do 100 reps of one movement (not running), what would it be?

What are 1-2 of your goals for 2024?
My 1st goal for 2024 was to get Bar Muscle Ups, which I can now do. So I’ll add butterfly pullups as the next goal.

Stop being such a picky eater. Food is one of the best parts of life and it’s way more fun to like everything.
If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?
Buzz Aldrin. Neil Armstrong would be cool too but Buzz has the cooler name.
One thing about me people would be surprised to know?

If the CFJI coaches came to your house for dinner, what would you prepare?
I’m hot on this Salmon dish with a lemony dill avocado salad right now, so probably that.
